The Steps to Adoption
Thank you for considering adopting. At Saving Grace, the dogs come first. We carefully work to . Please note that Meet & Greets are NOT scheduled until Step 6.

Learn about the Pets that are available for adoption by visiting our Adoptable Pets section.

Complete and submit an Adoption Application. The Application starts at the bottom of this page (below). Please note that it is not uncommon for us to receive several applications for a pet available for adoption.

The applications are reviewed by our all-volunteer adoption application committee. It often takes several days for the committee to fully review your application. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Phone interviews are conducted with selected applicants. References are also checked including veterinary references.

Virtual home visits are conducted where we are able to learn more about your home and the living environment for your pet.

Approved Applicants are invited to schedule a Meet & Greet with the pet. These are generally held at the Foster’s home, however, Adopters and Foster’s will mutually arrange the precise details.

Adoptions are completed with the Adoption Contract and payment of the adoption fee.
