Volunteer Application & Agreement

Do you love animals? Do you want to help but can’t foster? Or maybe you can’t foster and want tohelp fill other roles at the rescue? We are looking for big-hearted, animal loving people to help us help animals in need! Please complete our volunteer application. Here are a few things we are looking for:

Transport

Have the time to drop off a dog for a spay/neuter appointment? Or to pick up? It’ll take just an hour but helps us so much! Please fill out our volunteer inquiry to help with things like that, and also make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook page which is where we often request that kind of help!

Home Visits

Each of our adoptions require a home visit, so we need people in areas all over Florida who can devote an hour or so of their time to ensure the home that is adopting one of our pets is a deserving one. This is so important!

Events

Are you an outgoing person who would love to get out and meet new people? Do you want to use your people skills to help further our cause, and help homeless pets find their forever homes?

Special Projects

Are you an artist? Have a knack for marketing? Want to do a supply drive? Have a special skill that could help us? We really need your help!

Do you agree to follow all instructions and procedures as described by the staff at Saving Grace in order to make your volunteering experience the safest and most enjoyable it can be? 

Not following procedures, especially around animals with which you are not familiar, can lead to property damage and/or bodily harm to you and/or other animals.

In consideration of being permitted to volunteer with Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends, Inc., I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, invitees, and/or guests, acknowledge, agree and represent that I am aware of and assume the risks associated with being around animals. The risks may include, but are not limited to, the risks of being bitten, scratched, jumped upon, knocked over, chased, tripped, infected with a disease, or otherwise injured or frightened, as well as the risks of damage to personal property. I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, invitees, and/or guests, freely and voluntarily assume the risks to my person, property or others’ person or property as a result of or in any way relating to my participation in volunteering for and/or with Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends, Inc. I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE SAVING GRACE AND HER FURRY FRIENDS, INC. OR ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, MEMBERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS OR ANY AFFILIATED ENTITIES THEREOF FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, OR COST INCLUDING BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED MY PARTICIPATION IN VOLUNTEERING FOR AND/OR WITH SAVING GRACE AND HER FURRY FRIENDS, INC. I acknowledge that Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends, Inc. is not responsible for any property damage or personal injury suffered by me, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, invitees, and/or guests, and I assume liability to provide adequate controls to prevent such damage or injury. I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, invitees, and/or guests agree that Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends, Inc. cannot guarantee me or anyone else what type of temperament the animal(s) may have.

This contains the complete terms of the parties’ understanding and agreement and no other promises or terms, verbal or otherwise, may be relied upon.

This agreement shall be construed under Florida law and venue shall be Broward County,
Florida.

In the event a Court determines that any provision contained herein is invalid and/or
unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to bind the parties and shall remain in full force and effect.
