We are making no representations about the condition, personality, compatibility, age, breed, or temperament of the Pet. You hereby agree that the Rescue will not be held liable in the event that the Pet bites or harms a person or other animal.
Care of the Pet: If adopting a dog, the dog cannot be crated or otherwise confined for more than 8 hours in a 24 hour period. The crate shall be large enough for the dog to lie comfortably in. The dog will be walked on a leash or in a confined area, and the dog shall not roam free unsupervised. The dog will never be chained or otherwise confined for extended periods of time. You agree never to use the dog for dog fighting or any other “sport” in which one animal is pitted against another, and never to beat or taunt the dog in order to promote aggressive “guard dog” characteristics. The dog will live, sleep and eat inside, and will only go outside, supervised, for short periods of time throughout the day and will NOT be living outside.
Identification: The adopted Pet must be licensed in within the laws of the County in which the Adopter resides. You will be responsible for registering the microchip within the first week for the Pet’s safety. If adopting a dog, the dog will wear a form of identification with Adopter’s name and phone number.

Your adopted Pet will always be fed high quality food and be taken to the veterinarian and be provided with reasonable treatment for any health needs or illnesses that may arise.
Transfer: You agree to never abandon, give away, sell, transfer, euthanize, or surrender your adopted Pet in any way and will notify the Rescue immediately if you determine you can no longer care for the Pet. Our Rescue has the right of first refusal and must be notified first of any decisions regarding placement of the adopted Pet. You agree to give us a reasonable time to find the Pet a foster home (which may take at least a month) and to be solely responsible for any and all costs and fees associated with returning the Pet to the Rescue. These costs may include, but are not limited to, transportation fees, veterinary expenses, and any other reasonable charges and costs incurred in the process of returning the Pet. You agree to never surrender the adopted Pet to any animal shelter.
Lost Pet: You agree to make a serious effort to find the Pet if it becomes lost, by immediately filing lost reports with the local police, animal control authorities, animal shelters, post on Craigslist, lost pet sites, local veterinarians, posting lost pet signs, and contacting us immediately should the animal become lost.
Training: If behavioral issues arise with the Pet, you will seek professional care and/or training, including, but not limited to, behavior training with a licensed trainer.
Breach of Agreement: In the event that we make the determination that you have abused or neglected the Pet, you will be required to immediately surrender the Pet to us. If you do not surrender the Pet to us, you will be responsible for any and all attorney’s fees, costs and any other expenses, in connection with your breach of this Agreement and our subsequent enforcement thereof.

I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, invitees, and/or guests, freely and voluntarily assume the risks to my person, property or others’ person or property which may result when adopting an animal, including, but not limited to, the Pet, from Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends, Inc. I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE SAVING GRACE AND HER FURRY FRIENDS, INC.
